Tetraena alba
Systematics
Taxonomy and nomenclature following Beier & al. (2003).
Z. aegyptium/T. aegyptia is mentioned by El Hadidi (1978) to occur in Cyprus. The characters given to separate it from T. alba, e.g. number of flowers per node, capsule size, pedicel length, do not work in Cypriot material. Additional studies are recommended to clarify the situation.
